How to Manage Product Units

Product units define how your items are measured, packaged, and tracked in stock.

Step 1: Open Product Units
- Navigate to the left sidebar.
- Click Product Module > Product Units.

Step 2: Review Existing Units
- Review current units in the table (showing Code, Name, Base Unit, Operator, and Operation Value).
- Notice the system reminder: Base Unit Must Be Sale Unit.

Step 3: Create a New Unit
- Click the + Add Unit button above the table.
- Enter a Code * (e.g., Pcs, Kg, Ft).
- Enter a Name * for the unit.
- Select a Base Unit from the dropdown if setting up a sub-unit, or leave it as No Base Unit.
- Click Submit to finalize.

How to Bulk Import Product Units in CloudMA ERP

Step 1: Open the Import Window
- At the top left of the table, locate the buttons next to + Add Unit.
- Click the dark blue Import Unit button.

Step 2: Download the Sample Template
- In the popup modal, click the Download button to download the sample file.
- Open the file in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Step 3: Prepare the Data
- Enter your unit information following the required column format:
  - Code *: Short code or abbreviation (e.g., pcs, kg, m, box).
  - Name *: Full display name (e.g., Pieces, Kilogram, Meter, Box).
  - Base Unit: Set the primary reference unit if this unit is derived (e.g., relate Dozen to pcs). Leave blank or set to default if it is a standalone base unit.
  - Operator & Operation Value: Required if setting up sub-units with conversion rates (e.g., * and 12).
- Save or export the spreadsheet as a CSV (.csv) file.
Step 4: Upload and Process
- Return to the Import Unit popup in CloudMA ERP.
- Click Choose File and select your saved CSV file.
- Click Submit CSV File to Process (or the corresponding submit button).
- Verification: The table will refresh and display all imported units in the list with their assigned codes, base units, and operators.
