P&L REPORT

1.  Profit and Loss (P&L) Report

What is a Profit and Loss Statement?

A Profit and Loss (P&L) Statement, also known as an Income Statement, is one of the core financial reports in any accounting system. It summarises a business's revenues, cost of goods sold (COGS), and operating expenses over a specific period, ultimately showing the Net Profit or Net Loss generated during that period.

In CloudMA ERP, the P&L Statement is generated automatically from the underlying accounting transactions recorded across the system - sales invoices, purchase/GRN records, expense entries, and journal entries. This means business owners and accountants do not need to manually compile figures from multiple sources; the system consolidates everything into a single, ready-to-print statement.

As seen in the Demo System, clicking 'Generate P&L' opens a simple page titled 'Profit And Loss' with a single Date Range input and a Generate button.
